Our Projects

A generalized approach to problem solving includes proper research, trial and error, and a basic belief that the problem can be solved. It also requires certain tools. Below are our tools for addressing society's most fundamental issues.

The L3C Initiative

Arguably the most visible challenge that stands in the way of our society is the general inability to allocate financing where needed.

The L3C (low-profit limited liability company) enables social good enterprises that would typically fall under a non-profit status, to raise funds as though a for profit business.

Crucially, an L3C can involve financial stakeholders in the government, private, and charitable sectors -- and bring together the strengths of each stakeholder into the one L3C.

Essentially, an L3C correctly installed would have the mission and community role of a non-profit, the wealth of a foundation, the sustainable infrastructure of a business, and the longevity of a local government.

We provide legal consultation for setting up L3C's as well utilize them in our own projects.

The Debt Initiative

We are a nation crippled by debt. Most of us have some form of it or another -- and prevailing solutions seem dubious.

Collections agencies, set up to protect the interests of the companies, tend to be heavy handed toward the general public and undermine the dignity of those who find themselves in debt. The Debt Initiative provides an alternative to the collections agency. In our model, businesses can donate the debt they are owed to the Good Deed Law Project and write off the debt as a charitable donation. We, in turn, provide opportunities for those in debt to satisfy their obligations via contributions in their communities.

This solution gets to the heart of the big picture problem of debt. One person's debt does not simply effect their own lives -- it effects the dignity and independence of everyone involved. By encouraging people to contribute in their own communities, we're helping to reinvigorate the soul of an empowered, engaged, and self-reliant community.

Go Unite

The world is changing rapidly. And we can change with it.

Go Unite is meant to change how we organize, improve complex social institutions, and engage in our world. We use open source project templates, modular tasks, and immersive games to incentivize community members at all levels to take action and improve the world within walking distance.

Currently in testing phases, Go Unite is showing positive results in organizing both nonprofit and for profit sectors.

Operation Roofs

People need a safe place to live. In particular, senior citizens have suffered tremendously in securing safe, quality housing. In many cases, our elder citizens have to choose between food and medical or housing.

Operation Roofs is a collaboration between home builders, nonprofits, and the L3C. Together, we're serving seniors who, due to a rise in housing prices, experience difficulties paying a mortgage or securing affordable housing.

Through strategic land investment, Operation Roofs builds homes below market rate and provides low income housing for seniors in need.

A brave stab into the general social issue of housing people, Operation Roofs has a clear path towards solving a critical issue and thus opening up doors for broader solutions.
